A note about the future of Arterpillar

Lil Red Buttons and PBJ,  a.k.a. Two Tabbies Projects, will present the Itty Bitty Kitty Show on Feb. 18.
You may have noticed that I did not update Arterpillar Art Guide this week.

That's right, my big-fat-giant-obsessively-updated art guide has not been updated for days. After more than a year of obsessively listing South Florida art events, I've decided it's time for a new system. While I will continue the Arterpillar blog, I'm taking a break from the art guide portion of this site for awhile to concentrate on other things.

Listing so many Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach County events has simply become too time-consuming a task for one little Arterpillar, especially with so many event announcements arriving without images, closing dates or, in some cases, even an address or basic description. I've enjoyed putting together a comprehensive guide and it's been very rewarding work, but it's consumed a huge amount of time that I now think might be better spent on other activities.

So going forward, I'll be spending more time on other features including previews, Flashbacks, Q&As, Artist Opportunities, Teensy Weensy Solo Exhibitions, Betweeners, and maybe even some new surprise features.

This week, however, PBJ and Lil Red Buttons have recruited me to help them wrap up their first online curatorial project, the Itty Bitty Kitty Show. As the name implies, it's a little show about cats. The images, organized by Two Tabbies Projects (that's what they're calling themselves this week) will go online on Feb. 18. The curators will celebrate that evening with a special dinner followed by scrumptious savory salmon treats and much-deserved kitty cocktails.

Thanks for reading Arterpillar. Have a peachy day.
