THE ART OF FRIDAY: Nerdcore Fandom Art Show and Paradise: Lost or Found

Nerdcore Fandom Art Show is billed as a celebration of video games, Star Wars, comics, anime/manga, '80s TV shows and cartoons, Transformers ... or "whatever gets your geek going." The exhibition, which will feature work by more than 30 artists including Adolfo Bacigalupo, Brenda BurtonBrigid Howard, Dave Berns, JR Linton, Carolina Lebar, Kristin Frenzel, Monica McGivern, Cake Marques, MarcPaperScissor, opens 7-11 p.m. Jan. 4 and runs through Feb. 5.

Paradise Lost or Found, a juried art competition curated by Robyn Vegas, will include works in which artists explore the question: "What does Paradise: Lost or Found mean to you?" The show runs through Jan. 24, with a studio salon from 7-9 p.m. Jan. 4.
