Dooms de Pop party to celebrate the release of Ticker, will be accompanied by an art show. Performing bands include The Jellyfish Brothers, People, Manifest Test Subjects, Jesse Joynt, New Guy, Retrocities, Dooms de Pop, The Astrokats, The Shaker, Scarecrow Jenkins and Virginia's Wolf.
Exhibiting artists include Francesco LoCastro, Skot Olsen, Janette Valentine, Valyn Calhoun, Novi Filipovich, Blair Hess, Rachel DeJohn, Rene Gordon, Sue Buzzi, Hilda Vazquez, Melissa Rivera, Kiersten Johnson, Lauck Wrd, Jen Locane, Vena Paylo, Kelly Herdon and Mike Turned. Frank McGuffin will be offering culinaries and VJ Dark Intersection is the special guest. The party runs 6 p.m. to midnight Aug. 4 and bands start playing at 8 p.m. (in the order above). Admission is $10, $13 including CD.

Art by the Loo! a bathroom art show, will feature "a select group of local artists" exhibiting bathroom-themed art while DJS and local bands perform (but not in the bathroom). The lineup includes The Goddamn Hustle, which just wrapped up an east coast tour and a music video for their swamp pop anthem "Dirty Little Pet Names," along with openers The Midnight Hour, 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Aug. 4. Admission is free.

Movie Night featuring a Wes Anderson film (C&I says people can vote on their fave: The Royal Tenenbaums, Fantastic Mr. Fox or Rushmore) projected on a 30-foot wall and accompanied by popcorn, soda and candy from the refreshment bar. The movie night starts at 8 p.m. Aug. 4. Bring a pillow or blanket. Admission is $1.
