When I heard about the upcoming Caturday Saturday show at Green Room, my feelings were mixed.
The show will feature 30 artists showing their cat works. For me, a diehard fans of kitties (particularly the ones pictured above), it's a dream show for all kinds of reasons. First, there's nothing to bring out the exhibiting artist side of people like cats, so I figure there are likely to be artists who don't frequently (or maybe have never) shown their works. Secondly, well, it's all about cats.

"What's a kitty-cat fan to do?" I thought. Then it hit me. I could make my own kitty-cat art show on my Arterpillar blog.
Granted, Arterpillar isn't the Green Room, and I can't afford to offer $3 "vodkat drinks" or DJs and local music. But let's just have a fun little slide show that could include cat art from some of the people who didn't make the Caturday Saturday cutoff, as well as others who want to share their most fabulous, funniest or cutest cat photo, painting, sculpture etc.
Consider this an official call to South Florida artists who aren't already exhibiting in Caturday Saturday. All I need is an image of your cat photo, painting, sculpture etc., along with some details (title or caption, name of artist, city artists resides in etc. You can e-mail it to Colleen.dougher@gmail.com by Aug. 9. Please put Itty Bitty Kitty Show in the subject line.
Again' it's not the big Caturday Saturday show ... just an Itty Bitty Kitty Show, because in "the dog days of summer," kitties sometimes feel like they're getting the shaft.
