Artist trading card workshop will offer loads of crafty supplies participants can use to create miniature works of art to trade with their fellow artists, as well as plenty of adult beverages in an event that founder Shari Friedman promises will be "more fun that a barrel of monkeys." The Art of Tattoo, a six-hour art party featuring paintings and photography by South Florida tattoo artists including Pooch (Altered States), Sole del Real (Black Rose), Susan Humphrey and Ray Holzhuter (Hyper-link Studios), Phillp Carlucci (Aces High) and Santiago Gonzalez (Hyped-Ink Studios) and music from resident DJs LinderSMASH and Kaos, starts at 10 p.m. July 13. First Annual Juried Painting Show featuring the works of 19 artists from Florida and beyond, was juried by Diane Camber, director emeritas at Bass Museum of Art; Danilo Gonzalez, director and curator of The Art Place Wynwood; and sculptor and painter Emilio Adan Martinez. Featured artists will include Andrew Ackerman, J Bellicchi, Marcela García Bonini, Tesa Burch, Toa Castellanos, Cindy Eden, Lauren Fogg, Ron Francis, Dale Stryker, Vince 'BadPanda' Herrera, Ana Maria Hoyos, Kandy Lopez, Christine Lyall, Michelle Oravitz, Amber Quimby, Jessica Rivo, Vicente Forte Sillié, Lori Simon and Debra Yates. The exhibition will open 6-10 p.m. July 13 and run through July 30.
