The Blend, a showcase of more than 20 artists, photographer, musicians, fashion designer and performance artists, will include visual artists Kazilla, Jess Stark, Nate Dee, Trek Six, Antonio Guerrero, BXB and Christine de Guillot, as well as performance art by Floyd the Rock Artist, Pam Trent and Stay Sea Love. The event starts at 8 p.m. May 9. Tickets ($10 in advance and $15 at door) are available through Rawartists.org/miami/theblend and dress code is cocktail attire.

Renda Writer Variety Show and Open Mic, a six-hour party featuring live art by Jamaal Clark and performances by musical duo Psychedelic Mist (9:30 p.m.), spoken word poet Mori Taiye (10 p.m.) and singer-songwriter John Torres (10:20 p.m.) starts at 8 p.m. May 9. Cost: $5 for those not buying food or drinks.
