Starter Art Show is an exhibition of affordable art works (all priced at $100 or less) by more than 30 artists including Amanda Valdes, Danielle "knee" Estefan, Danny Brito, Helena Garcia, Kristin Frenzel and Tatiana Suarez. As Amanda Magnetta-Ottati puts it in her announcement about the show, "You really don't want to miss the opening night of Starter Art. You will kick yourself when you see what you missed and sold before you got there." The exhibition opens 6-10 p.m. May 5 and runs through June 23.

Winning Art! the center's annual fundraiser exhibition of works by resident artists including Natasha Duwin, Steven Gagnon, Rosa Naday Garmendia, George Goodridge, Peter Hammar, David Leroi and Tat Ito, will culminate in a raffle of the works and a silent auction, 7-10 p.m. May 5. Important Ceramic Works, an exhibition featuring works by Betty Woodman, Don Reitz, Jun Kaneko, Ken Price, Michael Lucero, Pablo Picasso, Peter Voulkos, Richard DeVore, Rick Dillingham, Saint Clair Cemin, Tony Marsh and Toshiko Takaezu. The show is billed as an exhibition of works that "reflect how traditional boundaries between ceramics and sculpture are blurred, obscured, or sometimes ignored.
