Artserve seeks two- and three-dimensional large-scale works by South Florida artists are sought for the BIG show, which runs May 10 through June 1 at Artserve in Fort Lauderdale. Minimum size for 2D artworks is 36 inches on each side, and max is 83 inches on each side, and works for hanging should be no heavier than 50 pounds. 3D artworks should fill at least 36 inches by 72 inches of floor space and no more than 48 by 108 inches. No diptychs or triptychs. Entry fee of $20 for members, $35 for non-members (for up to three pieces) must be paid online by credit card. Deadline for enries is 5 p.m. April 27. Green Room Nightclub (109 S.W. Second Ave., Fort Lauderdale) needs 10 artists to showcase work at Stache Bash. The FAU senior class fundraiser, which features music by Suede Dudes, GAPS and Alligator City, starts at 10 p.m. April 14 . Artists must be 21 and each artist can bring five ready to hang works. Drop off is 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Artists and their guests who arrive at the event who arrive by midnight (guests need to drop the artist's name the front door) will receive a free drink chip. Undergrounds' Coffeehaus seeks artists for a show that will celebrate eight years and 100 episode of the sci-fi series, 8 to 11:55 p.m. May 12. ... Undergrounds also seeks vendors for its Mayflowers show which will feature 22 four-foot spots (available at $10 each) that are (with the exception of the balcony spots) protected from rain, in an arts and crafts show that runs 4 to 10 p.m. May 19 and is themed around Mayflowers. As Undergrounds owner Aileen Liptak puts it in a joke she learned in fifth grade: April Showers bring May Flowers but what do MayFlowers bring? Pilgrims." .... Robot Love: Space Age Art Show, another Undergrounds show will feature art in all mediums at an event that will also feature music, movie and a robot tin foil contest, from 8-11:55 p.m. May 26. ... Broward Cultural Council seeks professional Broward County artists for rotating exhibitions in Lee Wagener Art Gallery, located on the departures level of Terminal 2 at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Art Nouveau Events holds monthly six-hour themed Wednesday art parties that generally include more than 25 artists as well as music from DJ Danxiety and body painting by Georgette Pressler of Devious Body Art at Respectable Street in West Palm Beach. Legal Art is currently accepting applications for video-screened artworks for an exhibition and screening that will be held in collaboration with Southernmost Situations at Legal Art Miami on May 18 . One work will receive an audience award based on votes cast on the night of the event. The five categories will include time-restricted video (shorter than 10 minutes), continuous video loop and video-based sculpture, installation and performance. Artserve will hold intake for Eco-Art, an exhibition of ecology-related art, held April 19 through May 4. Only Artserve members or those who become members (artist annual membership is $120 a year) during intake (10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 14) are eligible. Borscht Film Festival accepts submissions in any form, genre or subject (at various stages, from treatment to final cut) from "emerging filmmakers born, raised, inspired by, or living in South Florida. Any form, any genre, any subject matter is welcome, as long as it deals with South Florida in some way. Once again, you don't need to be in Miami, you just need to have an interest in the concept of it." Producer, director, or those with a script or idea are invited to apply. Greener, billed as an art exhibit that celebrates Earth, will feature art that includes "found objects, recycled material, natural resources and/or art depicting the natural environment," at The Projects Artspace (F.A.T.
