Parallels: Textile Design offers a look at illustrations, patterns and graphics and some insight about how these pieces evolve, the effect of the musical and non-musical influences on illustrating and printing and how to apply fine art and illustration patterns to apparel that can be used for marketing and advertising or to "promote hope and inspiration."
Speakers will include Chuck Loose and Ian Rowan, screen printers from Iron Forge Press; Stefan Russell, creative director at Perry Ellis International, Terrance and Johanne Wilson of Fashion+Cause+Solutions. After the discussion, sponsored by Qualified Creatives, guests can chat with creatives and designers. The event runs 6:30-9 p.m. April 26.
