Dr. Sketchy is a monthly evening of drinking, eating and drawing a model that poses for periods ranging from 5 to 20 minutes. This month's model is Foxy Shady Lawrence. Bring a sketch book, a hard drawing surface (if you have one) and your pencils, pens or crayons. No easels. Artistic skills are not a prerequisite. The ability to doodle on a cocktail napkin will suffice. The next session runs 7-10 p.m. April 19. Tickets are $10 in advance (Drsketchysofla.com) or $12 at the door.

Art After Dark, an Earth Day celebration with an acoustic performance by Jason Cardinal, a DIY Garden Art activity with Resource Depot, tours of Tacita Dean and Treasures of China exhibitions, a tea tasting, a recycled fashions show by Garage Gone Glam and a performance by 2011 American Idol finalist Haley Reinhart, 5-9 p.m. April 19.
